He's A Pander Bear Too...

In stark contrast to his 100 years in Iraq McCain now says he wants out of Iraq. What's more, McCain is now even saying his is for time tables. I seem to remember a time in recent history when calling for timetables got one branded as a traitor.

Looks like McCain is willing to say anything to get elected. He's finally gotten the message that Americans want out of Iraq. But does he mean it? He's such a fucking flip-flopping liar, even worse than Hillary, how can anyone believe what he says?

McCain Sets Timetable For Getting Out Of Iraq

Senator McCain's speech today gives a timetable for when US troops will leave Iraq if he becomes President. McCain went after former GOP rival Mitt Romney during the Florida primary, claiming his mention of timetables was equivalent to putting defeat into the hands of terrorists. Now the Senator is changing his tune.

Sen. John McCain will pledge today that most American troops will return home from Iraq by 2013 if he is elected president, a position that closely resembles the promises made by both of his potential Democratic rivals.

In a speech here this morning, McCain will say that only a small contingent of troops would remain in Iraq in non-combat roles beyond that date. He predicts that the drawdown will be possible because al Qaeda in Iraq will be defeated and a democratic government will be able to thrive in the war-torn country.

McCain "predicts...a democratic government will be able to thrive in [Iraq]." He doesn't address the how part.

It's a common flaw in Republican strategic planning, they get to a certain point and conclude with, "And the a miracle happens."

I'd like to see a Democratic movement succeed here in America before I believe it could happen in Iraq.

Gott im Himmel! 2013?! That's another trillion dollars down the tubes.

how conveeeeeeenient!
right about the time of the _next_ election, WHOEVER gets elected this time will withdraw a few troops and say, 'see, we're right on schedule!'
