Where’s My Cheap Gas?
McCain is saying that we fight wars in the Middle East for oil. I think pretty much every American accepts that though it’s been considered politically incorrect to say so. Paul Wolfowitz initially said the Iraq War would pay for itself with extra left over using Iraqi oil. Alan Greenspan said in his book that invading Iraq to secure America’s oil needs was a good idea but that no one could say as much publicly.
In the first couple of years the argument was made that we invaded Iraq from the oil. The Bush Administration and its NeoCon cheerleaders quickly distanced themselves from Woflowitz’s earlier words and began saying invading Iraq had nothing to do with oil. They branded those who even talked about oil and Iraq in the same breath as left wing commie pinko tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorists. Instead we invaded Iraq to spread freedom and democracy (since WMD were never found).
Well McCain has finally come clean. He has admitted that we wage war and meddle in Middle Eastern affairs for the oil (really, no surprise there). This is a moment when all of us commie pinko conspiracy theorists can feel vindicated. McCain says he wants an energy policy that will prevent us from having to fight more oil wars in the future.
I guess what cracks me up the most about the Bush Administration’s failed policies that John McCain endorses is that not only did they fuck Iraq up beyond belief but they also couldn’t even get the oil. These guys are so greedy that they didn’t even deliver the oil for the American People.
Here is what Bush could do to get his approval rating up to 68%. All he would have to do is order American-owned oil tankers to Iraq to fill up and bring that oil back to America for no cost. We could subtract the amount of oil we take from the $1 Trillion Dollar bill we have for invading Iraq. Talk about summer time relief at the gas pump.
Let me be clear that I would not support plundering Iraq’s oil. But my feeling is that the majority of Americans would not care if they were paying $1/gallon at the pump for gas. But the Bush Administration blinded by greed and beholden to the oil corporations couldn’t even get the oil.
Meanwhile the U.S. tax payer has funded this junket into Iraq and Afghanistan to the tune of $1 trillion dollars. Long term expenses figuring Veteran’s benefits and rebuilding the now destroyed Army hover around $3 Trillion dollars.
The oil companies have enjoyed raping us in all orifices. We paid for the invasion of Iraq which has secured future oil fields for them to develop. The invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan have fueled speculation in the oil market driving up gas prices. The oil companies have enjoyed record profits while the U.S. economy tanks due to inflation caused by high oil prices.
All of this and a war McCain supports. McCain wants the U.S. to stay in Iraq permanently; forever if need be but at least 100 years. Why? Well now we know why: For the oil.
So Mr. Maverick John McCain, when do we start enjoying all this cheap oil we are paying for with blood and borrowed tax dollars from China? If we are there for the oil, where the fuck is the oil??

Are you saying that there is some devious plan afoot to take more of our money as their ensure their continued economic dominance, making the gap between us and them wider each day? You don't trust The Maverick® and the neocon puppeteers?

As usual when you speak the truth you are labeled a conspiracy theorist to cover up the real goal. McCain got a bad response when he said it was about the oil so as usual he back tracked and lied saying he was talking about the first gulf war as if that was different!
I am just so sick of the lying but it will never stop as Lying is the new truth! As 5 years after the carrier and mission accomplished and this is finally just at the beginning stages of blowing uncontrollably I have to wonder when the windfall Iraq is getting for their oil is going to go towards rebuilding their damn country or something positive?

I just came up with an excellent campaign promise for whichever Dem gets the nomination... we pull out of Iraq and the US government distributes 12 billion dollars worth of free gas to the country every month. May not be great for the climate but it sure beats the situation we're in right now.
