Round Up

There's been a lot happening over the past couple days so I just wanted to touch on a few areas today.

First Up Shoe Lady:

"This is not 1968 and the invasion of Czechoslovakia where Russia can threaten a neighbor, occupy a capital, overthrow a government and get away with it," Rice said just hours before leaving for France. "Things have changed."

Uh yeah...tell that to Iraq and Afghanistan. Oh wait, I guess since they aren't our "neighbors" they don't count...

Next Up Consigliere:

"Not every wrong, or even every violation of the law, is a crime.
Attorney General Michael Mukasey

Lest we forget who helped confirm Mukasey...DEMOCRATS

Schumer and Feinstein Back Mukasey

November 2, 2007 WASHINGTON, Nov. 2 — The confirmation of Michael B. Mukasey as attorney general seemed all but assured late this afternoon when Senators Charles E. Schumer and Dianne Feinstein, two Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee, announced that they would vote in favor of the nominee.

McCain gets his warmongering thrown back in his face...Saakashvili calls out McCain:

“Yesterday, I heard Sen. McCain say, ‘We are all Georgians now,’” Saakashvili said on CNN’s American Morning. “Well, very nice, you know, very cheering for us to hear that, but OK, it’s time to pass from this. From words to deeds.”

McCain told a crowd in Pennsylvania yesterday that he had called Saakashvili to express solidarity with the people of Georgia, saying: “Today, we are all Georgians.”

It still seems to me that this whole thing was orchestrated with the U.S. telling Saakashvili they would back him as he invaded South Ossetia only to have the U.S. go watch the Olympics while thousands of civilians died. The U.S. had to know Russia was prepared to invade and push Georgia out of South Ossetia. I don't know why Bush insists on poking the bear but he keeps on doing it.

Arkansas Democratic Party Chairman Bill Gwatney Killed In Shooting

I am just wondering when it will be made official that Liberals and Democrats are targets.

Note to right wing crazies: If you lose your job and get pissed off it's Republicans you should be blaming NOT Democrats.

Final Note: John Edwards is NOT the Democratic Nominee. He holds no public office. He is a private citizen. Not sure why he is STILL being talked about 24/7. Hasn't the news figured out we are on the brink of nuclear war with Russia and we got bonzos like Bush, Cheney, and Rice in charge? There are bigger things to talk about than Edwards and Hunter.

It is already open season on liberals. Ask the Unitarians in Tennessee.

Liberals are the scapegoats of the Amerikan Reich.

Let 'em talk about Edwards. That gives us the opening to point out McCain did the same damn thing. He cheated on his wife while she was injured and hospitalized.

It's about character, right.

What do you mean, it's only wrong when a Democrat does it?

Good comment, Dave!

One prominent Russian compared his country's involvement in Georgia to the U.S. experience on 9/11/01:

If that isn't bad enough, McCain is using the same kind of language proclaimed in overseas headlines ("We are all Americans") when the U.S. was attacked 9/11/01.

When are these assholes going to stop preying on peoples' emotions by using an American tragedy to advance their political purposes? How soon before we hear McCain start to evoke "9-11" multiple times in every speech? Probably soon, since Election Day is only about 11 weeks away and the GOP will run out of stuff to bash Obama on pretty soon.

The administration is already trying to help get abortion back into the elections. The Bush administration is, according to moveon.org, "quietly trying to redefine abortion to include birth control". When they realize they are not fooling enough Americans or that the Christian right is not foaming enough at the mouth, they bring out this kind of stuff. By the time the public realizes what the administration is doing, there will only be a short time left until the election, and then it will give the GOP a boost when McCain, knowing what they are up to, says it's a great thing and Obama is, as usual, left to defend himself for disagreeing.

As for Mukasey, he is such a tool. I can't wait for a new administration, preferably a Democratic one. Dems did ultimately get Mukasey where he is today, but for whatever reasons, the Dems in the Senate are afraid of the current administration. I think a lefty administration would replace Mukasey and others like him as soon as possible.

Gee and I thought Gonzales was bad.
